Meeting and Committees

As well as through its quarterly meetings, chaired by the Reeve, the Town Trust manages its operations through three committees. These are:

• Almshouses
• Finance
• General Purposes (including Lands, Heritage (responsible for the maintenance and management of the Castle Hills, the Borough Well) and the Market, and Public Relations)

Each of these meet quarterly and report into the full meetings of the trust. A separate small committee, chaired by the Reeve, organises the Town Dinner

Town Trust meetings are held at Emmanuel Church Rooms. Trust meetings are not open to the public, except for the Annual meeting, which is held on first Tuesday in December and at which the new Town Reeve is unveiled.
